Andrea's Ironman

Here is Andrea's report of her first Ironman!  She has worked extremely hard, been open to change with a willingness to learn and move forward to accomplish her dream.  I am very proud of her and feel honored to have been given the chance to work with her.  Congrats to Andrea!

Ironman Coeur d'Alene June 26, 2011

We arrived in Coer d’Alene, Idaho on Thursday, June 23, 2011.  Katie, Jalynn, Braden, Ariel and Lexi were all with me.  As we drove around the lake, I was quickly reminded of how huge and awesome the lake is.  There was a cloud cover and we could see white caps on the water.  The resort is beautiful.  We quickly settled in and Amy and I put on our wetsuits and went down to the lake for a practice swim.  Oh my gosh…the lake is freezing!  54 degrees!  It took me only 4 minutes for my face and feet to go numb.  Zachary tried to swim without a wetsuit…he dove in and quickly returned to shore.  Amy and I swam for 20 minutes, and then joined Zachary, Braden, Ariel, Jalynn & Lexi at the pool.  We all had dinner and then went to bed for our next big day in Coer d’Alene.
