Why I Love What I Do
There are many reasons I love coaching. It’s not just the fact that I love fitness, CrossFit and working out. Nor the fact that nutrition gets me fired up and you have to shut me up once I get going. It’s the people I get to work with. It’s the change I am privileged to witness.
I get to hear things like this (daily!):
“My back doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“My chiropractor hasn’t had to adjust me the past couple of months because my spine stayed where it should.”
“I don’t get sick anymore.”
“My sinus congestion is gone – it’s something I’ve lived with my whole life.”
“My knees don’t hurt anymore.”
“I’ve lost 33 lbs.”
“People have been complimenting the way I look.”
“I got my first pull-up!”
“My coworker told me I need buy new clothes because they’re hanging off me.”
“I stopped taking my thyroid medication because I don’t need it anymore.”
“I’m not on my cholesterol meds now.”
“I feel good.”
“I got a muscle-up today!”
“Five years of pain was alleviated.”
“I’ve been able to control my blood sugar levels.”
“My blood pressure dropped to normal and my resting heart rate dropped to the high 50’s.”
“My shoulder feels way better.”
I get to see people break through mental blocks. Stuff they never thought they could do, is now a thing of the past. What they do in their workouts and how they eat, carries over into the rest of their lives. The stories continue to roll in… Deadlifting 225 lbs when you’re almost 60 years old is pretty awesome to witness. I get to fly in the face of tradition and clear up old lingering myths. I get to see “ah ha” moments. This is just some of the awesome stuff that goes on! Can you sense my excitement?
I absolutely cannot wait until someday soon; this is my full time job. To me, it’s not even a job. Coaching people towards better health is my passion. I want to thank each of you that have given me the chance to coach you!
