Thinking back on my younger days, it was always easy to go to the gym and stay in shape and eat what ever you wanted. Fast forward to the marriage and children part, you no longer have time for yourself let alone time to go to the gym. My husband has always been supportive of me "wanting" to work out, by filling our garage with everything from a Bow Flex to an elliptical machine and everything in between. Did I work out? Did I FIND the time? Well my friends the answer is a huge NO! By the way the elliptical was moved to our bedroom where it serves as a clothes hanger. Don't laugh I know you guys probably do the same!
Anyways, one day as I was watching my children have an exceptionally grueling wrestling practice, I thought to myself, how can I be THAT parent. You know the parent that is so supportive of their children with athletics and health consciousness, and not take my own advise. It was then that I decided that I was gonna make a change whether my out of shape body wanted me to!
Enter Inner Icon and my new found love of training. I don't call it a workout per say only due to fact that I don't feel as if I am "working out". We TRAIN, and we do it with intensity and I love it. I am sure anyone in my group with attest that I am highly competitive, and with all of the people in our group, I can assure you that I am pushed, however at the end of every session I walk away with a sense of accomplishment! My children and husband love to hear my accomplishments and it makes me feel good that they have a mom and wife who not only cares about her family, but also cares enough about her health.
Friends ask me what I have been doing because I look great. I tell them ( let me re-phrase that), I RAVE about David and Inner Icon. I am constantly preaching to my friends how they need to change their eating habits and start coming to Inner Icon. It was amazing how fast my body changed just from eating Paleo and working with David. I really like my personal training with David, but my group is AWESOME. They all rock it everyday they are there and I feel so lucky to have great people to train with. My husband and oldest son now want David to train them!

Recipes
Cinnamon Muffins
These are a delicious alternative to cinnamon rolls for a quick addition at breakfast or part of brunch!
Ingredients:
Muffin mix-
2 1/2 cups almond flour
1 tablespoon coconut flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon coconut milk
1/2 cup honey
Glaze-
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon melted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Mix together all the dry batter ingredients. Add the wet batter ingredients and mix well with a whisk. Pour batter evenly into twelve muffin cups.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Mix all the topping ingredients in a separate bowl, and drizzle over the muffins.
