Ironman Coeur d'Alene June 26, 2011

We arrived in Coer d’Alene, Idaho on Thursday, June 23, 2011.  Katie, Jalynn, Braden, Ariel and Lexi were all with me.  As we drove around the lake, I was quickly reminded of how huge and awesome the lake is.  There was a cloud cover and we could see white caps on the water.  The resort is beautiful.  We quickly settled in and Amy and I put on our wetsuits and went down to the lake for a practice swim.  Oh my gosh…the lake is freezing!  54 degrees!  It took me only 4 minutes for my face and feet to go numb.  Zachary tried to swim without a wetsuit…he dove in and quickly returned to shore.  Amy and I swam for 20 minutes, and then joined Zachary, Braden, Ariel, Jalynn & Lexi at the pool.  We all had dinner and then went to bed for our next big day in Coer d’Alene.

The Face of Success: Meet Corina C.

Corina is a wife, a mother (read chaperone, cheerleader, chef, maid and biggest fan) of two very active boys, a full time surgical assistant, and a constantly improving athlete. Despite her active schedule, she decided it was important to make her health a priority.

Level 1 - PASS

We've had ton's of PR's going on recently.  We've also had 3 athletes pass all of their level 1 skills in the past month or 2.  Congratulations!!!  This is quite a big achievement!  They have worked hard and been very consistent.  Way to go Ron, Wynter and Jay! Here are just a few moments caught on camera...

Deadlifts for All

We had a awesome week of new PR's (personal records)!  The deadlift is one of the most functional movements out there.  We're always going to need the ability to pick stuff up off the ground.  When performed with proper technique it is completely safe.  It is also one of the most FUN lifts.  How do I know this?  You should see the huge smile and look of satisfaction a
